Pleasanton trails face closures, damage amid winter rainstorms

Published Tuesday March 14

Part of Centennial Trail shut down indefinitely, other paths need repairs but remain open

By Jeremy Walsh / Pleasanton Weekly

Pleasanton city officials announced Tue that part of Centennial Trail is closed indefinitely while segments of other local public trails need repairs but can still be safely used in the wake of winter rainstorms.

Centennial Trail between Main Street and Harvest Circle is now off limits due to downed trees and severe trail-bed erosion, city officials said. The trail section has been initially evaluated, but a full repair plan can not be developed until the water level recedes, they added.
